In order to strengthen Santero Therapeutics’ team, we are looking for a Research Associate (M/F).
Responsibilities
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Research Assistant to join the Biology Team. As a Research Associate in Microbiology and Biochemistry, you will perform laboratory work to support the development of assays and the selection/validation of innovative drug candidates.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Drawing up protocols and using existing protocols to test molecules produced by chemists.
- Carrying out experiments in microbiology, biochemistry, and cell culture from start to finish, interpreting the results.
- Work in contact with bacterial strains and carry out various tests.
- Compile, summarize, record, and critically analyze data to present them at project team meetings.
- Participate in the maintenance and calibration of equipment.
- Draft the SOPs required to carry out the experiments.
- Be involved in managing the laboratory's stocks.
- Be part of an interdisciplinary team and actively collaborate with other scientists within the company.
Profile
- You have a Master's degree in biotechnology or equivalent.
- You have a first laboratory experience, preferably in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
- You are familiar with safety processes in a biological laboratory. Experience with BSL2 environment would be an asset.
- You are well-organized, conscientious and have a proactive attitude.
- You are flexible and able to learn new tasks and solve problems quickly.
- You are a team player with good communication skills.
- You are fluent in French and English.
- You enjoy working in an international environment and with young, enthusiastic colleagues.
