Following the evolution of their organization, we are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (M/F).
Responsibilities
As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will play a central role in overseeing and optimizing E2 Drives' R&D activities, ensuring continuous innovation and optimal levels of performance and quality in developed motors. You will report to the CEO.
Your main responsibilities are:
Technology Strategy and Vision
- Define and execute the technology strategy in alignment with the company's vision and strategic objectives.
- Ensure continuous technology intelligence in electric bike motorization and advanced electromechanical systems, while working with the Innovation Manager to establish the technology development roadmap.
R&D Leadership
- Oversee the motors’ electromechanical design to ensure performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Supervise design, prototyping, testing, and validation activities, maintaining quality and schedule control.
Internal Team Coordination
- Align R&D with customer needs and market trends with the Product Manager.
- Ensure a smooth transition from R&D to industrialization in coordination with the Industrial Leader.
- Participate in the intellectual property management, including patent monitoring, and future technology development strategies.
- Ensure schedule adherence, workload distribution, and cost management with the Program Manager.
Team Management and Organization
- Lead, structure and develop the R&D team by recruiting, training and mentoring engineers.
- Implement rigorous work methodologies, integrating best practices in project management and systems engineering.
Profile
- You hold an Engineering degree (mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, embedded systems, or equivalent).
- You have 10+ years of proven experience in R&D, particularly in complex technological product development, ideally in electric motorization, mechatronics, or embedded electronics.
- You have strong expertise in electromechanical system design and validation.
- You possess in-depth knowledge of prototyping, testing, and validation processes for electric motors and associated components.
- You have experience in implementing quality and reliability processes for technical products.
- You demonstrate leadership and adaptability skills with a pragmatic, results-oriented and innovation mindset.
