Responsibilities

iTeos Belgium is seeking a highly motivated, proactive and skilled Research Technician to join the In Vivo Biology group in our Research and Development Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily activities at the animal facility, including maintenance of facility installations, colony management, control of stock & supplies, maintaining sanitary vigilance as well as animal inoculation, treatment, monitoring and sample collections.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Maintain stocks and supplies necessary for the operation of the animal facility.
  • Overseeing operational/logistic activities including the management of cleaning staff of the animal facility.
  • Manage animal colonies, recording mice arrivals and track use during experiments.
  • In collaboration with in vivo team, maintain animal welfare and ensure functionality of the animal facility and its equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor animal health and report any abnormalities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Provide support including handling and manipulation of animals (mice only), treatments and sample collections.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, life sciences, or related field.
  • Basic or upper level of English.
  • FELASA certification (or willing to acquire during the first 6 months).
  • Experience working in an animal facility, preferably with mouse, is highly recommended.
  • Previous experience with cell culture is an advantage.
  • Proactive, excellent organizational and record-keeping skills are key.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
