Based in Liège region, our client is an industrial company specialized in the manufacturing of ready-to-use mineral blends for various sectors such as construction and filtration.

To support their growth, we are looking for a Purchasing Manager (M/F).


Responsibilities

As Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Company's purchasing processes. You will identify and select the best suppliers, while maintaining a relationship of trust with them. You ensure that suppliers perform well, that contracts are properly managed and that the quality, cost and delivery criteria defined by the company are met.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Defining the supply requirements of the company's various departments.
  • Drawing up specifications and negotiating contracts with suppliers.
  • Identifying and evaluating potential new suppliers, both nationally and internationally.
  • Monitor and follow up suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Checking deliveries and ensuring the conformity of goods and services received.
  • Manage the supplier database and keep key information up to date.
  • Defining and implementing a solid sourcing strategy, starting from logistics and packaging to strategic purchasing.
  • Oversee financial aspects, including payment and delivery terms.

Profile

  • You have at least 5 years’ experience as a Purchaser, ideally in the construction sector or in an industrial environment.
  • You are fluent in French and English (Dutch is a plus), both written and spoken.
  • You are proficient in Windows office software (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • You are willing to travel around Europe (mainly Belgium, France, Germany and Great Britain) to discuss with providers and maintaining a relationship of trust.
  • You are organized, curious, precise, rigorous, respectful and conscientious
  • You have a critical mind, open-minded and results oriented.
  • You are a team player.
