To strengthen their growth, we are currently recruiting a Junior Mechanical Designer (M/F).
Responsibilities
As Junior Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings, developing comprehensive design plans, and defining the engineering Bill of Materials (BOM) for mechanical components and Calyos products. You will utilize CAD software extensively to transform concepts into detailed engineering drawings and contribute to the product development process.
Your main responsibilities are:
- 2D and 3D drawing creation: Use CAD software (such as Creo) to create accurate and detailed 2D and 3D drawings of mechanical components and Calyos products. Revise and update existing drawings as needed.
- Detailed design plans: Develop comprehensive design plans and documentation for mechanical projects. Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards, manufacturing guidelines and project specifications.
- Bill of Materials (BOM) definition: Create and maintain the engineering BOM, detailing all necessary materials, components, and subassemblies required for production. Collaborate with procurement and manufacturing teams to ensure BOM accuracy and feasibility.
- Technical Support: Work closely with the Calyos engineering team to ensure designs are feasible and meet project requirements. Assist in troubleshooting design-related issues and recommend solutions.
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design or equivalent technical education.
- 0-5 years’ experience in Mechanical Design or similar role. Junior applications are welcome.
- You are familiar with CAD software (Creo or similar like AutoCAD, Solidworks, etc).
- Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with creating and managing BOMs (Bill of Materials) is a plus.
- You are detail-oriented, analytical, proactive and have excellent communication skills.
- You are a team player, willing to join a passionate and devoted team.
- You speak fluently in French. A minimum B2 level of English is required (mostly reading and writing).
- You can work autonomously without day-to-day guidance and show willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and industry best practices.
